Laurel's Story

Laurel was brought to the shelter after she was found as a stray near the Country Club. She is about 5 years old. While with us, we noticed that Laurel seemed a little off. She walks like her back legs do not work correctly. She can still get around, but she is a little unbalanced as she moves around. We had X-rays taken at our vet and tried several different medications for her. Nothing improved her condition, so our vet suspects it is a neurological issue. With her condition, our vet does not recommend any medications, but does suggest that she go to a home with no stairs and no other pets or children, unless they are very calm and gentle. Even with her slight mobility impairment, Laurel is still able to use the litter box normally and should still be able to live out a relatively normal life. She is such a sweet girl who is hoping to find a loving home as soon as possible!
