LALIQUE is a Beautiful, and not often seen in rescue, SNOW BENGAL. She is approximately 2 years old with brilliant sapphire blue eyes and a coat that feels like silk and shimmers like new fallen snow in sunlight. Her markings are very unique with dilute spots and stripes on her body and legs but pronounced rings on her tail.<br/><br/>Lalique is spayed, current on her vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, microchipped, has her claws and weighs around 8 lbs. Lalique eats both wet and dry food, but loves her wet food best and uses her litter box 100%. She came to SPCR through a large city shelter, when her owner could no longer care for her and the shelter knew that Bengals do not do well in a shelter setting.<br/><br/>Lalique is Bengal through and through, she loves to play, loves to explore, will talk when she has something to say and will carry on a conversation with you too. She likes to watch the birds and squirrels outside while hanging out on the upper levels of the cat tree in her room and that’s often where she naps during the day and sleeps at night. Lalique will start out very shy initially, as we don’t feel she had very much interaction with people when she was a kitten. But once she gets to know you and understands that she can trust you, she will show you her loving side and will come up and start rubbing her face against your hands, then looks for pets and will flop on her side next to you and will let you pet her belly at times. But don’t expect her to sit in your lap as Bengals aren’t normally known for being lap cats and so far she’s no exception, however only time will tell if that will always hold true.<br/><br/>She has always been interested in other cats and always comes up to the gates to her foster room to greet them, somewhat hesitate and maybe with a little hissing at first until she gets use to seeing them. She has also been introduced to one of her foster homes own cats in her foster room, (a 5 year old, easy going, male Maine Coon) and they have done well together, but she does set the tone of their interactions. Her foster family feels she actually will benefit from having another cat or two, with the right demeanor, in the home as she picks up on their cues on how to react in unfamiliar situations. As well as just comfort knowing there is another cat in the home. Although her foster home does not have a dog, with a slow and proper introduction she may be fine with a dog or two that are well behaved ,that have lived with young, active cats before and respect the cats boundaries.<br/><br/>Lalique is looking for a quiet, adult only home that has experience with active cat breeds (Bengal, Abyssinian or Rex) and also one that knows and understands that there are some cats that start out very shy and need more time to learn that they are in a home where they are safe and loved before they show you their love for you.<br/><br/>We know in the right home Lalique is sure to bring smiles and laughter and love to her forever home just as she has in her foster home!<br/><br/>ADOPTION FEE $350.
