Meet Lala Lala had a rough start in life, and we found her severely neglected. However, she still has a bright and cheery attitude. She’s working on getting bigger and increasing her appetite. She already has her sparkle back! Lala is an extrovert and loves people. Her favorite things are sitting next to you and chin scratches. Sometimes she’ll softly meow to call your attention, or she may pat your arm with her paw. She likes to be brushed and she’s easy to handle. Lala is a true couch potato and takes her naps seriously. Lala is perfect for professionals who work from home, someone looking to girl rot in bed, or for new retirees. This little girl is a homebody’s dream. She’s looking to be your next bestie. We'd love to give her a loving home with someone who understands she is in the later years of her life. but could live 10 more years with good nutrition. Up Manhattan Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy

We vet adopters very carefully 1. Potential adopters complete a detailed adoption application form 2. We ask for 3 references on the form 3. We do either a video or in-person homecheck to ensure that the home is safe, comfortable and has window screens 4. We make sure all adopters have a cat carrier to hand in case of emergencies 5. We have adopters sign an adoption contract 6. We let adopters know that if things don't work out, we can take the cat back. We want to make sure the adoption is a good fit and everyone benefits.

Our Mission

Up Manhattan Cat Rescue aims to reduce the homeless cat population through spay and neuter as well as finding homes for abandoned cats and kittens born to community cats in Washington Heights and Hudson Heights. Up Manhattan Cat Rescue provides winter shelters, regular meals and medical care for community/feral cats. Up Man...
