Lainey (DOB July 2023) was rescued by our Safe Haven team of trappers. At Safe Haven she gave birth to 3 kittens (Antwan, Benji, Wanda) in June 2024. After lovingly raising her three precious babies - each of whom have found their forever homes - this devoted mama cat is now patiently waiting for one of her own. She’s ready to trade her role as caregiver for that of a cherished companion and hopes her happy ending is around the corner! <br/><br/>Lainey is a beautiful tiger striped tabby with lovely green eyes. She is a sweet, kind, and incredibly brave kitty with a joyful spirit. She’s always the first one out when playtime begins and stays engaged from start to finish - never hiding, always ready for fun. Wand toys are her absolute favorite, and she can’t resist pouncing on movement under blankets. If another kitty is getting in on the action, Lainey will happily jump right in to join the excitement! <br/><br/>She gets along beautifully with all of her roommates and has never picked a fight. In fact, the other cats clearly adore her and often look to her for companionship, making her a wonderful feline friend in a multi-cat home. <br/><br/>With people, Lainey is friendly and confident enough to greet you, though she’s a bit reserved when it comes to touch. She may allow a gentle pet now and then, but too much affection can feel overwhelming, and she’ll quietly walk away when she needs space. True to her loving nature, she always comes back - especially when it’s time to play again. <br/><br/>We believe that with patience, time, and trust, Lainey will continue to blossom and become a loving and affectionate member of her new family. For someone who appreciates a playful, gentle soul and is willing to let a bond grow naturally, Lainey will be a truly special companion. <br/><br/>Lainey would do best in a quiet home with adults and older kids who can provide daily interactive play and plenty of love. She requires someone who is willing to invest a little time in the socialization process. Like all cats coming from a shelter there is an adjustment period, and Lainey needs just a bit of patience and understanding, allowing her to blossom and become comfortable in her forever home.
