Kyler

Kyler is a super sweet guy looking for a family of his own. His coloring is the typical tuxedo coloring except he has an adorable white stripe down his nose. He is a purr machine and wants nothing more than someone to cuddle with and love him forever. Kyler also loves playing with toys, especially hair ties, and can be quite vocal during play with the cutest mews ever. He does not do well with other cats but would be okay with a cat friendly dog. Kyler is neutered, litter box trained, doesn't mind nail trimmings or getting his medicine. He is estimated to be born around June 2020. Kyler does have a heart defect which requires medicine every 12 hours. Even with the troubles Kyler has experienced with his health, he is still the most gentle and loving kitty. Please read the Adoption Process steps below.<br/><br/>Our Adoption Process:<br/><br/><br/> Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo an in person or virtual home visit from an RHS representative.<br/> Complete Application. https://www.richardsonhumanesociety.org/adopt/<br/> Phone Interview/Vet Check. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. We also get a reference from your vet, if applicable.<br/> Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in. We will try to include the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Due to COVID, we may ask you to send a video of your yard and the pet's expected living space.<br/> Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $125 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets.
