Kuddly Kat: Cerebellar Hypoplasia Cutie Seeking a Calm Home's Story
Meet Kat: A Sweet and Quirky Soul Looking for a Gentle, Loving Home

Kat is a beautiful 8-year-old girl with beautiful white fur and bold black markings. She has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), which gives her movements a bit of a wobble, adding to her unique charm. With her froggy-sitting posture and gentle, playful nature, she brings warmth and smiles to everyone around her.

Kat’s story is one of resilience. She was picked up off the street around 4 months old and later abandoned when her owner was evicted. After tracking down her original owner, it was discovered she had been left unspayed in hopes of breeding her, and she’d never seen a vet. When rescued, Kat was undernourished and scared, but she quickly began to trust and adapt in a safe, loving environment. Now, Kat has a big heart and craves companionship—she just needs a quiet, patient home where she can truly blossom.

What Makes Kat Special:

Loyal and Loving:
Kat is a people-centered cat who loves to be part of the action—as long as it’s calm and peaceful! She’s your perfect lap cat and thrives on sitting with you during quiet moments. Mornings are her favorite, where she waits for breakfast and enjoys cozy coffee-and-pet sessions.

A Little Comedic Spirit:
Her CH means she moves in her own special way, sometimes “slithering” off a lap and doing a little prance when someone comes home. Her joyful energy is infectious, and her “happy dance” will brighten any day!
Quiet and Playful: Kat loves her Yeowww catnip fish, which her foster calls her “yeow yeow.” She’s independent in play but also enjoys interactive toy time, especially when it’s gentle and low-key.

Her Ideal Home:
Kat would be happiest as the only pet in a quiet, adult-only home where someone is around often to keep her company. She’s cautious around strangers and takes time to warm up, but once she does, her loyalty and affection know no bounds. Loud noises and stairs are a bit overwhelming for her, so a serene space without stairs is ideal.

Little Quirks and Routines:

Lap Lounger:
She’s your evening TV buddy, and lap time is her absolute favorite!
Diet: Kat enjoys Fancy Feast beef pâté and Rachel Ray Nutrish, with Temptations treats for her “potty prizes.”

Sensitive but Sweet:
She’s a little shy at first, but with gentle reassurance, she becomes a trusting and loving companion.

Currently, Kat is being fostered in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, but her forever family could be anywhere if it’s the right fit. Transportation can be provided for the right home. If you have a peaceful, loving home and the patience to let Kat blossom at her own pace, she will reward you with endless love and companionship.

To apply:
https://forms.gle/Xb9FYyvMfkuDYKwf6
