Kovu

Meet Kovu! This very resilient boy has had quite the rough life recently. Kovu was chosen for his name meaning hardship but strength, scar yet honored pet. We didn't intend to trap him. We were there to trap an older ill cat. But he knew he needed help and showed up at just the right time. <br/>When we saw he had a huge gaping wound down his back we had to get him care. We rushed him to the vet and immediately scheduled him for surgery to clean and repair his injury. <br/>He had apparently been scraped badly when trying to GET AWAY from a predator (animal or human). There were no injuries on his face so we know he did not try to fight back, just escape the situation, whatever it was... He is a mellow guy and was agreeable for all his treatments and meds. <br/>As soon as he was healed enough off he went for his neuter.<br/>He is now fully healed and ready for the next chapter in his life. Which we hope includes a loving home and soft bed!!<br/>Kovu is still scared. He needs a foster or adopter that will work with him and give him the attention and time for his emotional wounds to heal now that his physical are healed. He allows petting on his head, is agreeable when we clean his area. He loves his treats but will not yet accept them from our hand. He has shown interest in other cats though contained. He is terrified of dogs at this time.<br/>He has so much potential if the right person is willing to give him that chance.<br/>If you have a calm room to allow him to decompress and the patience to allow him to learn love please reach out to us. We are here to guide you and know he deserves a loving home. We would be thrilled to discuss with you if you could make a HUGE difference in one very special cat's life. I promise there is no greater reward than to earn their trust and love!<br/>All cats are neutered/spayed, up to date with vaccines, FIV/FELV tested and microchipped prior to adopting.
