Kookie's Story

Kookie is a 3½‑year‑old spayed female long‑haired tabby with a soft, flowing coat and an even softer heart. She’s microchipped, fully vaccinated, and ready to bring her gentle presence into a loving home.

Naturally shy and easygoing, Kookie thrives in calm environments where she can take her time to warm up. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through—quietly playful, affectionate, and deeply appreciative of gentle pets and cozy lap time. She’s the kind of companion who settles in beside you and makes the whole room feel more peaceful.

Kookie would love to be adopted with her daughter Koko. While they are not super-tightly bonded, they feel most comfortable in the vicinity of one another.

Kookie has experience being around other cats and with dogs, and she does well with respectful animal friends. Loud noises can startle her, so a quieter household or one with predictable routines will help her feel secure and confident. She would likely not do well with small children, but would be good with respectful children school-age and up.

If you’re looking for a tender, low‑key companion who blossoms with patience and offers quiet affection in return, Kookie may be the perfect match

If you would like to meet this special furball, please fill out the Online Pre-Adoption Questionnaire on our website, https://www.catmanducc.org/copy-of-adoption. Then come by Catmandu Friday through Sunday for a meet and greet and to talk with an adoption specialist. Adoption hours are 11 am to 4 pm. Plan to arrive no later than 3 pm so you have time to spend with the cats before adoptions close at 4. Please bring a carrier in case you find your purrfect friend.
Renters must bring a copy of their lease showing they are allowed to have a cat.
For more information on Catmandu, see bio.link/momcat.

Catmandu's Adoption Policy
Catmandu is located in Carson City, NV. We do not ship cats cross-country. You must be able to visit In person prior to adoption. We ask that all family members come to meet the cat, especially if there are children. Spay/neuter, shots to date, and deworming (if necessary) are included in our adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $100 for kittens under 1 year old; and $50 for adult cats. We strongly prefer to have adopters complete an application and make an appointment to meet the cats. Because we have an extremely small staff, this ensures that we will be able to give each potential adopter plenty of individual time and attention to help them select the perfect cat for their family and situation. It is very important to us that it is a good fit and the adoption is for the lifetime of the cat. Appointments are available Tuesday through Sunday. For more information, visit our website at CatmanduCC.org
