Koala (reduced adoption fee)'s Story
Koala is a pretty grey-tabby girl, about eight months old, who was rescued as a frightened, hungry, abandoned stray. Her fosters gave him the time, patience, and gentle reassurance for her to understand that humans could be trusted, and her affectionate, mischievous nature has emerged. Now, Koala enjoys being pet, loves to play, and will happily jump onto her foster mom's bed. She still has a sensitive side and would do best as the only cat in a calm, understanding home where her person will let her continue growing in confidence. We haven’t seen her around dogs or children yet, but we believe she’d likely do well with respectful kids and dogs who know how to interact gently with cats. Koala would do best in an interactive home where she isn’t left alone for long hours. Whoever is fortunate enough to adopt this little girl will gain a devoted companion for life.

She has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Her adopter will receive her medical records. She’s being fostered in Melrose. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. In Koala's case, it has been reduced to a mere $195-- a bargain for a new best friend. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps rescuers match cats with the right adopters.
.
