Knight's Story

Hello there, potential fur-ever family!
My name is Knight, and I'm here to tell you why I'm the perfect feline companion for you. Sure, I may have had a rocky start, but let's focus on the present, shall we?
First off, let's address the elephant in the room - or should I say, the sassy black cat with a lot of attitude. That's me! I've got personality for days, and I'm not afraid to show it. Some might call me a little diva, but hey, a cat's gotta have standards, right?
Now, let's talk about my quirks. I've got this thing where I pretend to want belly rubs, but it's all just a clever ruse. You see, I'll roll over, flash you a cute wink, and then... BAM! No touching the belly! It's my way of keeping you on your toes and ensuring you understand who's really in charge here.
But don't let my feisty demeanor fool you. Despite my sassy exterior, I've got a heart of gold. I'll accept pets from you, but just when you start thinking I'm a cuddle bug, I'll give you a gentle swat and let out a little grumble. It's all part of the charm, trust me.
Now, let's address the whole "peeing outside the litter box" situation. Yeah, I'll admit, I had a bit of a rebellious streak. But thanks to the dedication of the wonderful folks here and the help of a behaviorist, I've turned over a new leaf. That's right, no more "out-of-litter-box experiences" for this gal! I've been on my best behavior since mid-January, and I couldn't be prouder.
So, what am I looking for in a forever home? Well, for starters, I need to be the one and only ruler of the kingdom. No other pets allowed and no young children- I prefer to bask in all the attention myself. I can handle teenagers and have no problem putting them in their place. I would best be adopted by a person(s) with prior sassy cat experience. I also thrive in a space where I can roam freely and explore to my heart's content. Oh, and did I mention I have a thing for drinking from all the faucets? It's my little quirk.
In conclusion, I may have had my fair share of kitty crimes in the past, but I'm ready to turn over a new leaf and find my purr-fect match. If you're looking for a sweet and sassy companion who will keep you entertained for hours on end, then look no further. I'm right here, waiting for you to whisk me away to my forever kingdom. Are you ready to make me a part of your family and add a little more exciting sass to your life? Submit your application to my human servants at Animal Rescue Foundation at ARFCT.org so I can think about adopting you!

Some very important things you should know when applying:

Adoption fees for young adult and adult cats are $250 ($265 if microchipped).

What our adoption fees include:

Adult cats have received a wellness exam, fecal exams to test for intestinal parasites, treated for any known/existing conditions to bring them back to health, SNAP tested for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), and Heartworm. They have also received flea/tick preventative, have been spayed/neutered and are up to date on both their distemper and rabies vaccinations.

For all applicants:
Our volunteers do our very best to match an animals needs with that of the familys needs and desires. In an effort to be transparent, please note that we just dont know how our individual animals, many who have been through prior stress or trauma before arriving at our shelter, will react around young children who are still learning what it means to respect an animals boundaries. We are happy to have a beneficial discussion about safety between children and pets. Applicants and their family members arriving for meet and greets will be asked to sign a liability waiver upon arrival and prior to meeting our animals. Please also expect to have at least 2 visits as part of the adoption process at our shelter- one for the initial meet and greet, and one for the adoption appointment if a match is made. Its important to us that we are properly matching animals to adopters, preparing our adopters for their special adoption day, and for a lifetime of happy pet ownership with your adopted pet.

Please double check your application for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting it to us. Please be as thorough as possible when answering application questions as the more you elaborate, the more information we have to consider, the more likely we are to have a full picture of the care, support, and love our cats/kittens will receive for their adopted lifetime and your particular application will be at the top of our mind when placing cats/kittens in their chosen forever homes. You can complete an application at ARFCT.org and submit it to our email at arfct.adoptions@gmail.com for consideration. Thank you!
