Klaire's Story

Meet Klaire: A Very Special Soul Looking for a Very Special Heart. Sometimes, the most resilient cats are also the most loving. Meet Klaire, a 5.5-year-old sweetheart who is the definition of a "soulmate cat." If you are looking for a gentle, devoted companion to share quiet afternoons and cozy evenings, Klaire is waiting to fill that spot on your lap. In fact, her absolute favorite place in the world is being curled up right against her human--she is a true lap cat who thrives on connection. Klaire recently underwent a successful surgery to remove several mammary glands. While she was diagnosed with Stage 2 mammary cancer, there is a very bright silver lining: her history shows these masses were incredibly slow-growing over the course of five years. This tells us that Klaire is a sturdy girl who doesn't let her health journey slow her down! To ensure she continues to live a long, high-quality life, she just needs an adopter who will commit to her "wellness plan." This simply means annual vet checkups and a watchful eye for any new growth, which may require future gland removals to keep her feeling her best. Additionally, Klaire had a dental procedure in 2025 where several teeth were removed; she's feeling much better now, but her new family should have her pearly whites monitored during her yearly exams to keep her mouth healthy and pain-free. We have her full medical records ready to share so you and your vet can stay ahead of the curve together. Klaire is a quiet, dignified lady who knows exactly what she wants: peace, love, and a predictable environment. Because she treasures her serenity and her "one-on-one" time with her people, she is looking for a dog-free home. She would be a wonderful match for a household with gentle, kind children ages 12 and up who can respect her space. While she would be perfectly happy as your "one and only," she could also live with another very low-energy cat who acts more like a respectful roommate than a rowdy playmate. We don't recommend homes with dogs. Adopting a kitty like Klaire is a unique and deeply rewarding experience. You aren't just giving her a house; you are giving her the gift of security and a promise that she will be cherished every single day. If you have room in your heart for a resilient girl who lives for lap snuggles, Klaire is ready to start her beautiful next chapter with you. Klaire's adoption fee is $200.

*To visit our cats, you must make an appointment on-line at www.caringforcatsmn.org/adopt.*

Note: While we are happy to respond to your questions about any of our cats, you will still be required to make an on-line appointment at www.caringforcatsmn.org/adopt if you wish to meet our cats.
