Meet Kit and Kat!Kit & Kat are a pair of sisters looking for a forever home. They are petite girls already full grown at approx 8 pounds. Both are social and outgoing. sweet girls who are great with cats and comfortable around dogs. They have never lived around children, but likely will also do well once a proper child/kitten introduction has been done. They love attention, but can also be independent and do their thing so little humans wanting to pet and play with them would likely be an environment they do well in, as they would with a single working adult who is interested in adopting both girls OR have another cat friendly cat at home as the girls need to either be adopted together OR into a home with another cat friend because they love the same energy and companionship they receive from other feline friends. The two sisters are happy, healthy, and looking for the forever home of their dreams. Kit and Kat are currently in a foster home and their foster mom has these great things to say about them:KIT is a very active kitty who loves attention and follows us wherever we go in the house. She likes to snuggle at bedtime, but is not a real fan of sitting on laps. Kit loves being in a sunny window and watching birds at their feeder. She's usually a very mellow girl until it's time to wrestle with Kat or chase a dangling toy. She will drag the dangling toy (attached to a wand) around the house in hopes that we make it jump for her and even brings it to bed! She giives us loud purrrs to get more playtime or treats.Kat and Kit are great kitties, are very people oriented and fun.

KAT is quite a character! She is very active, loves attention and playtime. She runs after toys that I toss for her and sometimes will even toss them herself and run the other way. Kat likes to 'talk' to people. She's pretty vocal about her food bowl looking almost empty or when she wants you to play or be petted. She will run up to sit on my lap for pets, purrs and snuggles. During her mellow times, Kat loves a sunny window for naps or to watch birds at the feeder.Kat and Kit are great kitties, are very people oriented and fun. It'd be great for Kit to be adopted with Kat but think she'll be fine as long as there is another cat in the home to be buddies with..

Kit and Kat's Original Rescue Story:These 2 adorable sister siblings (we think) were accepted as relinquished from a Tijuana, Mexico 'Refugio/shelter'.Sadly, the girls arrived in pretty bad condition, emaciated ,and having horrible gastrointestinal issues. We thought we had received a transfer of the 3 month old kittens they had asked for help with. When we received them, we noticed these girls are 6-7mo old and only 2.7 pounds (Kit) and 3 pounds (Kat). The poor girls were very vocal, most likely hungry and stressed from not being able to control their bowel movements and had obviously been dealing with extreme dehydration and the inability of keeping anything in. This, most likely, caused them to be so small.
Thankfully, we started treatment right away and, although it was one of the most extreme cases we had seen in a while, we were excited to see changes/improvements on the 3rd day of treatment and so happy for them to finally be able to use the litter box and to stay clean and be comfortable. From then on, everything was uphill and the two sisters began to thrive on their journey to find a forever home.If you are interested in adopting these sweethearts who are SO deserving of the forever home of their own where they will know that they are safe, will not go hungry, and will be loved for years to come, please submit an application online at arwob.org. They have a lot of love to give, and, as a bonus to them, it would be AMAZING if they are adopted together as they seem to have gone through so much together.
