Kiri's Story

KIRI is a sweet and playful kitten about 6 months old. We think she was kicked as she had several broken ribs when we first took her. One of her back legs does not support weight and this could be related to her physical injuries OR she could have a very mild case of "CH" - cerebellar hypoplasia.

Kiri loves other cats and loves to play. She would be a great companion for another kitty in your home or would be happy having all your attention to herself. She is a bit shy/nervous with new people at first but loves food and treats which is a great way to make friends with her initially.

She does not have almost any special needs except a home without stairs. She uses a little box just fine, she can get up on her cat condo and on the couch. With a set of stairs that offer some grip, she will likely have no trouble getting up on a bed either.

If interested in adopting, start at CatsCT.org

Meet this kitty in purrson at Bridgeport Petco, 4559 Main St on weekends 11-2 and by appointment!

All About the Cats, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
We verify an applicant's name and address online. We confirm if they are a homeowner. If not we ask for the landlord's full name and phone number to confirm cats are allowed, or will accept a lease copy showing their name and address and that a cat or cats are allowed. If applicant has had a pet in the last 5 years we call the vet for a history of care. If good care (and landlord says yes or they are a homeowner) they are approved. If not good care we try to educate on importance of regular care. About 1/2 of applicants in this category are approved. If no pets in last 5 years we ask for two personal references who are not related in any way.
