King Henry's Story

I was found as a beat-up stray tomcat who was defeated and depressed. At first I was very sad about being in a kennel, even though it was big and I had a soft bed and lots of yummy food. But over time, my patient rescuers won me over by brushing me and talking to me and telling me I'm handsome despite all my scars from living a hard life outside. Now I'm a happy guy who loves to lean in to pets on my head and neck (I don't love them near my tail). I get along great with the other cats at the rescue and have actually become kind of submissive now that I'm neutered. This is good because I tested positive for FIV which isn't a big deal at all! I can live with other cats as long as we all get along and I've proven that I'm a lover and not a fighter, so don't let my FIV result scare you off! I would love a safe, indoor home where I can be spoiled with brushing sessions and snacks, and given a cozy bed where I can curl up and enjoy long naps in the sun.
