However, she is skittish of new people and everything unfamiliar. She is working on her social skills and will require an adopter who can respect her independence and slow acceptance of snuggles. Kia does demand scratches and attention daily, but it needs to be on her terms. Kia is bonded with her foster brother, Yeti and they MUST be adopted together. Yeti makes Kia feel safe and will be the snuggle bug while Kia gets accustomed to her new environment.<br/><br/>Kittens under the age of nine months MUST have another age-appropriate cat or dog in their home, or as otherwise noted. PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO SUITABLE APPLICATIONS FOR SIBLINGS.<br/><br/>As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. Home at Last Rescue's Adoption Policy
Completed adoption applications are reviewed by an adoption coordinator and foster home. If suitable for cat/kitten, they will be contacted for a phone interview. A vet check is also done. If interview and vet check are satisfactory, a meet & greet (either virtual or in person, at discretion of foster) with foster home and cat is arranged. If is it determined to be a suitable match for both the adopter and cat, adoption is approved. Payments and contract are completed virtually and pickup is arranged.
