Khajitt's Story
Hi there! I’m Khajitt — a curious, cuddly kitty who loves to play and snuggle in equal measure. My favorite things include watching the critters outside the window, napping in my cat tree, and curling up in a warm lap for a nap.

I get along great with kids! I love chasing the laser light, running through my tunnel, and playing in my hammock (my brother, Pochocco, is especially funny when he joins in). Water fascinates me! I like to splash in my bowl or watch the faucet drip, and sometimes I "hunt" my little toys and drop them into my water bowl — I think it’s pretty clever.

When it’s treat time, we have a special talent — we can make a Churu disappear in seconds! When I’m feeling extra affectionate, I like to give sweet little nose bops to show my love. I’m playful, gentle, and full of purrs, and I can’t wait to find a forever home where I can share all my favorite things — and lots of love — with you.

Almost Home adopts kittens under 6 months of age in pairs, as kittens that young are not fully socialized and need a same/similar-age playmate in order not to become a nuisance to family members—including other pets in the home. Adopting kittens in pairs allows them to complete the kitty socialization process, learn good kitty manners, and have a playmate so their humans can sleep at night. We consider adopting single kittens to applicants who have another young kitty under 1 year of age, provided the applicant’s kitten is up to date on all age-appropriate vetting.

Almost Home's Adoption Requirements:
* Be at least 21 years of age
* Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household
* Have written approval from owner of residence
* Have a valid government-issued photo ID with current address
* Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Almost Home Foundation
* Be ready to make a lifetime commitment
* Live in the greater Chicagoland area (Illinois residents only)
* Pass a veterinarian reference check for current and past pets

If you are interested in Khajitt & her brother, Pochocco, please complete an online adoption application at www.almosthomefoundation.org or email cats@almosthomefoundation.org.

*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, checks, or Zelle for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***
