??Please Share??DESPERATELY SEEKING BARN HOMES<br/>??we cannot help adoptable cats until we clear some kennels??<br/><br/>Our recent 130+ cat hoarding situation includes quite a bit of cats who were left unsocialized and in need of Barn Placement. <br/><br/>Barn Cats need Love Too ??<br/>Our barn cats are cats that cannot be placed in homes (they are often times not handleable) <br/>There is no fee for Barn Cats but we do ask for a donation toward their care. <br/><br/>We are in great need of Barn Cat Placements! It’s important that we get these cats the homes that they need so we can open cage space for all of the incoming cats this <br/><br/>We are looking for loving homes where they will never have to worry about being fed , safe and warm ever again. <br/><br/>We have healthy, sterilized cats in desperate need of new indoor/outdoor homes. These cats are feral (semi-wild) and need to live at a farm, horse stable, warehouse, plant nursery, or other suitable outdoor location.<br/><br/>Veterinarian care has been given (negative test for feline leukemia, sterilized, rabies shot, distemper shot, and exam). <br/><br/>The property owners only responsibility will be to provide daily food/water, protection from the elements, and long-term vet care. After a short period of secure confinement, the cats will accept your barn as their new home.<br/><br/>The cats will keep rodents away from grain and food storage areas...and when there are no rats or mice, any snakes go to your neighbors. Humane Society of Lackawanna County DBA Griffin Pond Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Visiting hours are noon to 3:00 pm, 6 days a week -- closed Tuesdays. *Potential adopters are required to complete an application on our website at griffinpondanimalshelter.com prior to interacting with any animals. * All adopted animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, distemper, bordetella (dogs), microchipped, have had one worming, one flea treatment, and are FeLV/FlV tested (cats). All adopted animals must be seen by a veterinarian annually for check up and vaccinations. Griffin Pond Animal Shelter is located at exit 197 off Route 81. Turn off the exit ramp onto Rte. 632 West. Drive .4 mile on 632W and turn left into Ivy Industrial Park (Griffin Pond Rd). The shelter is located .4 miles in on the right side across from the PEXCO building.
