Homebody Wants To Be Your One and Only <br/><br/>Kenzie, at 5-ish years old, knows what he likes, and that includes being brushed, gnawing on his catnip banana, and sticking to his routine. He does not approve of visitors, other cats, or missing his daily good morning floops. <br/><br/>Kenzie is a lively cat who needs a couple of good play sessions a day to get all that energy out so he's ready for evening cuddles. He will do a fantastic job of keeping the basement bug population under control and won't get mad as long as you come when he asks you nicely the first time. Kenzie is a social eater and will often ask for company while he eats, even if he doesn't need a refill yet.<br/><br/>Two years off of the streets, Kenzie is a healthy kitty who has mostly figured out how to communicate with humans and no longer panics if he sees the bottom of his food bowl. That does not mean you are authorized to skip his Churu treat, though! Kenzie wants an adult family with no other pets, few visitors, and some experience interpreting cat (especially when to back off to avoid scratches). He would request that you reserve a corner of your couch to serve as his personal blanket tent.<br/><br/>To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
