Kelby's Story

Allow us to introduce Kelby who is just over a year old. Kelby was discovered on the streets of Philadelphia and, due to his friendly demeanor, was kindly taken in by a local resident. It appears he may have been an only kitten or perhaps accustomed to playing with hands, as he currently perceives hands as toys. However, our foster has been diligently working with him, and he has shown remarkable progress. He has transformed into an affectionate companion who eagerly awaits your arrival at the door for gentle petting. While he may require a brief period to build trust with a new family, once he feels secure, he becomes a loving, purring best friend. He can still become a little overstimulated at times, so we would ideally prefer him to be adopted by a family with prior experience with cats. Kelby is seeking an active home that can match his energetic personality. As he is still learning that hands are for petting rather than playful pouncing, he would thrive in a home with older, thoughtful children. He would be most content as the sole feline in the household or alongside a very relaxed female cat. Kelby has received all necessary veterinary care, including neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and testing negative for FeLV/FIV, and is now prepared to find his permanent home.
