Meet Keira!<br/><br/>Keira is an intelligent, inquisitive, playful, and delightfully sociable kitten who brings plenty of laughter wherever she goes. Her name means "little black one" in Irish, and this energetic little girl has a personality every bit as charming as her name.<br/><br/>Born in early May 2026 on the streets of Salinas, Keira was captured by animal control and mistakenly labeled as "feral." An artist couple intervened to rescue her, and it quickly became clear that Keira is anything but feral. She loves people, enjoys being petted, and has a wonderful purr to prove it!<br/><br/>At this age, Keira is happiest when she's on the move. She loves playing, exploring, investigating, and finding out exactly what everyone else is doing. She's beginning to discover the joys of laps, but she'll usually choose an exciting adventure over sitting still for too long. Keira is curious and clever, which means she can find unexpected hiding places, transform ordinary household objects into toys, and become very determined when there's a door she wants to investigate. Fortunately, she is VERY food motivated, so her humans should have an excellent tool for training her.<br/><br/>Keira loves her brother, Carlo! The two have nearly identical, high-energy play styles, complete with ninja-like leaps, flips, and wrestling matches. They also play this way with their mother. They are not required to be adopted together, but they would make a wonderful pair. If Keira is adopted with another cat, a tolerant, playful companion would likely be the best match. Dogs are unknown, and because Keira is still adjusting to life in a home, small children may be intimidating to her.<br/><br/>Interested in Keira?
