Katara's Story

Please contact Lucia (JUMPINWAVES@YAHOO.COM) for more information about this pet.Katara was found all alone crying in a field at 3 months with Giardia, ear mange, and FIV. She was brought into a Tampa shelter where a plea went out to rescue. St Francis and her foster Mama took her in, saving her life from euthanasia. Katara is a confident girl, loves dogs, and after hissing boundaries with cats initially, will eventually try to be the queen of the group. After becoming friends, she loves to play chase, cat wrestle and watch lizards / birds on the screen porch or through the windows. As an FIV+ cat, her health proves otherwise with long healthy nails needing trims, a healthy appetite and energetic mischievous days. She loves her old, (washed) no longer squeaking mouse toy, and carries it around in her mouth while yowling. Katara loves to lay on her humans lap and give kneading leg massages. She also greets her human at the door! For more stories on her, look up Lucia Wakeman on Facebook and do a search for Katara’s name! http://www.kittenlady.org/fiv 12/18/25 2:25 PM
