Karma's Story

This is Karma who was rescued in the beginning of September . Her life has been a heartbreaking one . She had to live being chased by the finder/ feeder’s dogs and also regularly attacked by the indoor outdoor resident cat there for 11 YEARS after being dropped off as a kitten in a box with her sister on the property . She lived outdoors with a shed for inclement weather wanting so badly to come in. We never posted her because we thought she had an adopter but together we have decided that she would be happier elsewhere ( we think young kids and a noisy busy home scare her - she spends a lot of time hiding while the two young kids are around and comes out only when their not ) She has had extensive thorough vetting at Burnt Hills Veterinary Hospital and has checked out in great health . She is FIV positive ( we think this came from the resident cat where she lived for 11 years being attacked ) This only means she has a lowered immune system and delayed healing . We are looking for a special person who is understanding of all that she has been through, someone with time , patience and alot of love to give without other dogs or young kids . She is the most loving girl and after all she’s been through she deserves a wonderful retirement with extra spoiling and a life without fear. We know with her senior FIV status this makes adoption much more difficult . We are willing to sponsor her vet care and everything she needs ( food , litter , necessities ) 4 LIFE for a home that will take the best care of her . A retired person or persons , someone who can be present with her often would be the best fit but we are willing to consider other possibilities . Karma has waited her whole life for love , stability and safety . We are praying we can give that to her for the holidays . There is no cat more deserving . If interested or have questions please reach out via email at friendsoftheforgottencatrescue@gmail.co
