KARIFA's Story

She may be little, but she is fierce! Born in the off-season of September 2025, this little feline is definitely the runt of the litter, but don't let her size fool you; she's a master play-maker on the pitch (or, you know, your living room rug).
Karifa plays an intense defender game when it comes to the food bowl, ensuring she gets her fair share and never lets a good treat get past her—she calls that a successful tackle!

When she first meets new humans, she's a bit cautious, taking her time to warm up and observe the play. But once you earn her trust and she accepts your pets, be ready for her purrs to be as loud as the stadium vuvuzelas!

To help this promising young player feel secure and truly settle into her new home, she's looking for a dedicated supporter’s club and ideally, a fellow teammate from her original squad: Vegas, Mabika, Grant, or Frank. Bringing home two means double the action!

Rhode Island Feline Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have a very detailed Adoption Application as well as an adoption coordinator system. Once an application is received, it will be reviewed by the adoption coordinator, vet records confirmed, residence status, renting/landlord information, pet permission, and employment verified then the coordinator conducts an interview with the potential adopter. If deemed a good match, the adoption coordinator forwards the information about the potential adopter to the foster. If the foster also agrees then they will have a meet and greet. At the completion of the meeting, if both parties agree the cat/kittens is a good fit an adoption contract is signed, and the adoption fee paid. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis. All the cats and kittens in our care receive the following: checkup, spay/neuter, rabies & distemper vaccines, de-worming medicine, flea preventative, microchip, and Felv/FIV test.
