Karen's Story

Meet Karen! Once a feral firecracker who hissed and swatted her way into our hearts, this petite 1-year-old has mellowed into a playful goofball with a big personality and a soft spot for gentle head pets (if you can catch her), treats, toys, and cat friends. She’s still a bit people-wary (unless you catch her in a cubby on the cat tree for some low-key pets), but she’ll charm you with her sweet little meow, her love of baby-talk, and her comedic curiosity.

Karen must go to a home with another playful kitty as she thrives in feline company and is happiest wrestling, chasing, and zooming with her squad. She lives comfortably with dogs, but young children are not her favorite. She loves occasional treats, wand toys (can’t resist them!), and being admired from a respectful distance.

Because she’s extremely skittish with people and in new environments, Karen doesn’t show well at meet-and-greets, but in a calm, patient home with a confident kitty buddy, she’ll start to come out of her shell!

Carriers and vet visits? Not her vibe either. But with patience (and maybe a treat bribe), she’ll forgive you eventually.

Karen's adoption fee has been fully sponsored!
