However, just like the humans she adores so much, she can sometimes forget her “cat manners” and may need to be reminded. She also will need a cat scratcher in every room and will leave a reminder on your furniture lest you forget.<br/><br/> Once she finds her people, she will become a loyal companion for life. She takes this quite literally, so do not be surprised when she stands guard outside the shower; she’ll know if you miss behind your ears! She also loves to snuggle up in bed whether for an afternoon cat nap or to dream away with you at night. She adores petting and cuddles from humans - both big and small! Because of her attachment to her human companions, Kandy Kake will need a family who is home more often than not and who will give her the attention that such a sweet soul deserves. Leave her alone too long and she may leave the house looking not quite as tidy as you left it!<br/><br/> Just as Kandy Kake showers her humans with love and affection, she needs her future family to meet her needs in return. She is severely allergic to chicken, requiring her to be on a prescription rabbit-based diet by Royal Canin - PR Select Protein, dry and canned. She also takes 1/2 tablet of Apoquel twice a day for her skin allergy. Kandy Kake needs a family who can agree to follow her dietary and medical regimen and who can financially afford these prescriptions. She will be forever grateful to whomever can meet these needs, and promises endless cuddles and snuggles in return. Although too many sweets can be bad for you, once you meet Kandy Kake, you’ll never get enough! <br/><br/> If you’d like to take this kitty home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application. The adoption fee is $100 and covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of our cats have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
