KAMALA's Story
KAMALA is a very sweet cat with a calm personality. She was found as a stray with 4 kittens, under a deck, in the heat of summer. She was a good mom to her kittens (all adopted) and made sure they were fine.
While she cared for her babies, she was place in a foster home with dogs, but never really got close enough to interact. The dogs in the foster home were kind of big and hyper, so were quite intimidating. She might be ok with a non-aggressive, quieter dog but she would need time and patience during the introduction phase.

KAMALA gets along well with other cats, acting as a foster mom herself if a younger cat needs her. KAMALA looks after the younger cats in her room, who need comfort and assurance, just as she did her babies. KAMALA is fine with the children old enough to understand soft petting and no squeezing hugs. KAMALA did fine with the children when she was in a foster home.

KAMALA is young enough for occasional play, but probably would just as soon find a sunspot to nap in. She is not crazy about being picked up but does love attention and will jump into a lap if given the opportunity. She is a sweetie, reaches out for pets, and would love to find a home with lots of laps and love, just for her, forever.

DOB: 05/2020 Entered Shelter: 05/2024

If you are interested in adopting KAMALA, please visit the shelter during Adoption Hours, Monday and Wednesday from 4pm-7pm, Saturday from 10am-1pm or call 231-773-3030 to set up an appointment.
