Meet Kala! Kala is an adorable bobtail who came to us with two kittens (Tarzan and Jane). Right when Kala was weaning her babies, we took in 4 teeny tiny babies whose mother had been killed. Kala accepted them with open arms, and went in for Motherhood Round 2 with no complaints. She did a wonderful job caring for them, keeping them clean, healthy, and fed. <br/><br/>Kala was timid at the center at first, but has really opened up over time. She still prefers not to mingle with the other cats, but will purr and chirp at us for attention from her kennel. She'll roll around and wiggle her butt to get us to pet her. She loves her big, soft bed and blankets. She’s a sweet, low-key girl.<br/><br/>Kala prefers not to room with other cats, but might be okay with a housemate after a slow introduction. She can be timid, so we would not recommend her for a home with small children. She has not been tested with dogs.<br/><br/>Kala is estimated to be 3 years old as of October 2025. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
