Kai's Story

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Kai is a friendly tabby girl happy to hang out with people and cats. She would love to have Kishka — likely her big sister from a previous litter — be adopted with her so they will always be together.

Sweet and lovable Kai — aka Fusilli — is always rolling around and twisting like the yummy pasta. She was rescued from the same neighbourhood as Keiko, Kashmir and Kishka, so likely all are related somehow. Her favourite time is spent with people, enjoying tummy rubs, jump pats, and making air biscuits with her kneading paws, all the while purring away like a little engine.

Kai is a true social butterfly and always ready to greet you with her happy little squeaks, immediately followed by flopping over and start twisting like her nickname. Take out any toy and she is ready — jumping high, hunting, running like the speed of light — the complete and amusing acrobatics that will keep you laughing and entertained!

Kai’s affable and easygoing nature has been a great comfort and boost to her foster mate and likely older sister Kishka, whose cautious wariness of people is being lessened by Kai’s easy acceptance of human presence. In fact, Kai positively blooms under a petting hand, and Kishka is learning that being gently petted actually feels pretty nice!

Kai has a good appetite, eating a mix of dry kibble and wet food with no issues. She has great litter habits as well. With this sweetheart’s enjoyment of being cuddled and handled, nail trim is merely an extension of that love and can be easily done.

Kai is a cat any family would be happy to love! If Kishka can accompany her to their new home together, Kai’s world will be complete! A best friend, more hands to pet and cuddle her, that’s all Kai ever wanted.

Would you like to make Kai, and maybe Kishka too, a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
