Kahuna's Story
Meet Kahuna… A.K.A. The Big Kahuna!
(…don’t let the name fool you—I’m not that big)
Hey there… I’m Kahuna. A dark brown tabby with striking green eyes and a personality that sneaks up on you… in the best way. I didn’t always feel this confident, though. When I first arrived at the sanctuary, I was completely feral and honestly… pretty terrified of everything. Humans? Hard pass.

But something amazing happened.
With a whole lot of patience, gentle love, and, let’s be real, really good food, I started to realize people aren’t so bad after all. Now? I’ve got a lot to say… and the cutest little meow to prove it.

I’ll be honest with you… if you take me home, I might hide at first. New places are scary, and I like to take my time figuring things out. But if you give me that space and let me come around on my own terms, I promise I’ll show you just how special I am. I’m the kind of cat who is absolutely worth the wait.

Once I trust you? Ohhh, you’re in for it.
I LOVE head scratches. And once you start petting me… don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. I’ll follow you around, politely (or not-so-politely) asking for more. Sometimes I’ll even give you a little love tap like, “Hey… you missed a spot.”

I’m also a professional treat beggar… especially during visiting hours. Those lickable treats? I will plead my case like my life depends on it. And honestly… I usually win.

A few more things you should know about me:
• I’m a big fan of catnip… especially those kicker toys
• I love playing and would really enjoy having another cat friend
• Sunbathing? One of my top hobbies
• I’m still a little shy with new people, so patience is key
• I’m not much for being picked up (yet!), but who knows what the future holds

Oh… and I recently had a dental, so my smile is fresh and ready for my next chapter

If you’re looking for a cat who will grow into your heart, make you work (just a little) for his love, and then never let you forget how much he adores you… I might just be your guy.

Come visit me daily from 1–5 PM. I’ll be the handsome one with the green eyes… probably asking someone for treats.

My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.

I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.

If you are interested in adopting Kahuna, please come visit… we are open daily from 1-5pm (including holidays)… we want to meet you in person! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@furballcats.com or message us on Facebook: Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary.
