Veni, vidi, vici proclaims Julius!<br/><br/>The famous words of Julius Caesar, “I came, I saw, I conquered,” might be words meowed by this big, puffy-cheeked, ginger boy. He is a former stray from Niagara Falls who is looking for his decisive victory in a loving home with a quiet place to curl up with his number one girl, Spirit.<br/><br/>ABOUT JULIUS<br/>- In foster<br/>- Julius was a skittish boy, but he’s been working hard on his confidence. <br/>- He comes off as a big old grump, especially when he doesn’t get his way. He asks with a hiss – it’s his surly way to let his humans know he is happy, annoyed, needs a time out, or just exists. <br/>- He secretly loves to be pet with the back-scratcher. And if he’s laying next to Spirit you can sneak in a hand pet or two!<br/>- Julius is the protector of his best buddy, Spirit. He will call out for her for some snuggle time up in the cat bed together. <br/>- While Julius may have a wandering eye, he would call it curiosity. Spirit does not agree but they’ll never stay apart for long.<br/>- He loves playing (and sleeping) with his beloved wand toy and he’s been practicing his ball skills to show off his sporty side.<br/>- Julius has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species.<br/>- A cat with FIV may be overlooked, but with routine vet care and a loving home, cats who have FIV can live a long, healthy life.<br/>- Julius takes prednisone (liquid) in a Churu without complaint every 2 or 3 days for his asthma. <br/>- Julius is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.<br/><br/>JULIUS’S IDEAL HOME<br/>- Julius is part of a bonded pair and MUST be adopted with his amour, Spirit, who also has FIV.<br/>- He would benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.<br/>- Julius does not require medication but vet checkups twice a year are recommended.<br/><br/>With a little perseverance, a Churu treat (or two), and some chin scritches, you will soon win Julius over.
