Julius's Story

Say hello to Julius!

This big, puffy-cheeked, ginger boy is a former stray from Niagara Falls who is ready to find a quiet place to curl up in. He’s looking forward to enjoying all the comforts that life with a loving family has to offer!

ABOUT JULIUS

- In foster
- Julius is a shy boy, but with the right approach he can be pet by hand. He prefers chin scratches, but, if he’s in the mood, a shoulder rub, a back-scratch, or some forehead pets will do.
- Playing with his beloved wand toy gives Julius a chance to show off his goofy side.
- Julius has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species.
- A cat with FIV may be overlooked, but with routine vet care and a loving home, cats who have FIV can live a long, healthy life.
- Julius is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.

JULIUS’S IDEAL HOME

- Julius is looking for a patient family who will work with him to build up his confidence.
- Julius is part of a bonded pair and MUST be adopted with his partner, Spirit, who also has FIV.
- This sweet guy would enjoy the company of another friendly, FIV+ cat, but he can also be adopted on his own and soak up all the affection and playtime for himself.
- Since Julius has a reserved personality, he may prefer a quiet home without young children or dogs.
- Julius does not require medication but vet checkups twice a year are recommended.

With a little patience, a churu treat (or two), and some chin scritches, you will soon win Julius over.
