Julio's Story
A volunteer writes:
Julio and twin Enrique were found locked in a box in front of the Manhattan Care Center. They were soo afraid and it took a while for them to relax and start trusting us. Nothing is known about their past but what really counts now is to make them feel better and find them a loving home. Julio is coming out of his shell, in a slower fashion than Enrique but he is getting there, leaning into pets, head bunting my hand, purring softly and moving a little bit toward his door.He even tackled a feather wand, briefly(see his video). Julio, like his brother is a handsome kitty with fluffy cheeks. I know he will emerge from his shy shell and charm you with his sweet personality. Will you give Julio a chance to meet you, make his case and convince you to take him home. He is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center.

What my friends at ACC say about me:
My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!
I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.
I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.
Julio tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
Primary Color: Gray Tabby Secondary Color: Gray Tabby Weight: 9.4lbs Age: 4yrs 0mths 3wks
