Julia 2023's Story

Julia was trapped as a kitten, yet was already old enough to be immediately spayed, so her behavior as a feral had already had a chance to set in to some extent, though not in a mean or reactive way. She is shy and timid, but there is definitely a softness to her that is waiting for the right lure to come out. She's an extraordinarily beautiful kitten. We're working on socializing her and there is slow, but steady, progress. She is bonded with her sister Jack Box, they must be adopted together.

Update 8/10/23 - Julia is slowly coming out of her shell. She's still not sure about humans, but she does love to play. If I use the laser toy, she will chase it and even run very close to me, until she remembers she's close to me. She loves eye contact.

April 2024 Julia prefers to be pet while sitting on you. She is warming up to random pets but that is hit or miss. Still isn't ready to be picked up, but will cuddle with you. Loves toys (laser pointer and bottle caps), catnip, and squeeze treats!
