Juju's Story
Juju first came to our rescue as a tiny kitten in 2017 and grew up in a peaceful home where he was the center of someone’s world. His person adored him. They were inseparable. And Juju absolutely thrived with that steady, comforting companionship.

Everything changed in 2023 when his person passed away. Juju suddenly found himself without the one constant he had always counted on. He returned to us grieving, confused, and trying to make sense of a life that suddenly felt too quiet and too empty.

It’s now been almost THREE years since he lost his person, and Juju is still waiting for someone to choose him again.

He just needs a patient, understanding human who can give him the kind of stability he once knew. Juju is chatty, full of personality, and incredibly devoted. He’ll follow you around the house, “assist” with all your daily tasks, curl up nearby, and keep watch over you from his favorite high spot. And yes...his biscuit-making skills remain unmatched.

Juju does struggle with anxiety, which he shows through over-grooming and chewing plastic. He’s improved on a prescription calming diet and daily fluoxetine, and in a quiet, predictable home, he may eventually be able to taper off. Consistency is everything for this boy.

His ideal home is calm and steady—someone who is home often, with no other pets or young children, where he can feel safe and loved again.

If you’ve been searching for a loyal little shadow who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Juju may be exactly who you’ve been looking for.

And if you can’t adopt, please help Juju by sharing his photo and story far and wide. His person would have wanted him to find someone who will cherish him just as deeply.

Apply here: nose2tailcatrescue.org/adopt
