Joy's Story

Meet Joy! We took in Joy and Cassie together. They do very well together and we would love to find them a home together, but we believe they would also do okay apart. We estimate they are between 2-3 years old.

Joy and Cassie are both friendly and sweet, but they are shy girls. They love treats! Joy had some missing fur when she first came in to us and she was licking herself a lot causing fur loss on her sides. We tried an allergy medication first which did not seem to help. Then we tried a transdermal (applied onto her ear) anxiety medication called fluoxetine and that has helped her and her fur has grown back! This is a medication we recommend continuing for her.

Both girls are litter box trained.

The $100.00 adoption fee (
payable by cash or check only
) includes: spay/neuter; vaccinations; microchip; fecal testing w/ giardia, flea prevention, and FIV/FeLV/heartworm testing and negative for all.

Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Cats for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
