Joon's Story

Joon is a Domestic Shorthair dilute tortoiseshell cat who is looking for a new home! Joon was surrendered to the shelter because her former owner could no longer keep her. We've come to learn that Joon is litterbox trained, gets along with dogs, and children. We are unsure how she behaves with small animals. Joon has a history of living with other cats, but would do best in a single cat household. She is a well-mannered cat who would enjoy long naps on a couch, or sunbathing in a window sill. She has proven to be a calm, affectionate, and independent girl! If you are interested in meeting Joon please give us a call at 419-294-4477 to schedule an appointment!

WCHS Adoptions are a 2-Step Process

Step 1— Visit our shelter! (Appointments Required)
The animal of your choice will be reserved for you at the time of scheduling. (Prospective adopters may be shown multiple animals, subject to availability.)

Step 2— Pick up your new pet!
Pickups are generally 3-5 business days after completing adoption paperwork at your in-person appointment. This allows HOPE Clinic time to prep your new pet for their forever home, including spay/neuter surgery (if not already fixed), a microchip, vaccines, and other care depending on the species. Once the animal is ready, we'll call you to coordinate pickup! (Pickup times are generally in the evenings.)

*Return Policy: If an adopter cannot keep an adopted pet for any reason, the animal must be returned to WCHS. Because of our strict return policy, adoptions to homes more than 100 miles away will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
