A funny thing happened due to the tireless commitment we invested in Jonquil. She transformed from a once timid momma to an attentive member of the playtime parties in her room in Bianca's Furry Friends right before our eyes! It took time for this locally rescued momma cat to welcome the gentle hands she once feared. Now, she's emerged as a little door greeter who sometimes surprises herself with her relative bravado. The time helping Jonquil overcome her fears has been well spent; we get to enjoy giving her luxurious pets and watch her full-on-frolic with her beloved roommates. Does she still like a good box to hide in from time to time? Sure, but she also welcomes visits from all forms of friends in the room who can easily encourage her to join in on the fun. An experienced home with older kids to continue the life we've introduced Jonquil to will solidify her understanding that life is indeed sweet on the other side of rescue!
