Jones's Story

Meet Jones, a sweet senior orange tabby with a big voice and an even bigger heart. After his beloved owner passed, this gentle boy is searching for a quiet, loving home to call his own. Jones is FIV positive, but that doesn't stop him from living a happy, full life, he just needs a low-stress environment and lots of love. He adores soft beds, gentle pets, and will follow you around before plopping at your feet for attention. He'd prefer to be your only cat, though he may do well with a calm, respectful adult feline friend. If you're looking for a devoted, vocal companion with endless charm, Jones is ready to be your shadow

FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. FIV+ cats have compromised immune systems that make them more prone to getting ill but, with regular vet check ups, and a clean indoor environment, they can live just as long and healthy as a FIV negative cat. FIV is mainly spread through bite wounds that usually occur in outdoor scenarios. The virus can NOT be spread to dogs or humans from FIV+ cats.

To view other cats or kittens available for adoption at Valley Animal Center, please visit https://valleyanimal.org/cats/. You may also find Valley Animal Center's adoption application there. Once you submit an adoption application, a cat care associate will review it and follow up with you as soon as possible.

My adoption fee is only donation based (choose your price) and includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, de-worm, flea treatment, and microchip ID. If you choose to adopt me, please ask an associate about joining Valley Animal Center's Cat Club!

Thank mew!
