Jonathan's Story
Meet Jonathan, a soulful 6.5-year-old tabby who is looking for nothing more than a soft place to land and a lap to call his own. Jonathan hasn't had the easiest road, and you can see a bit of that history in his eyes--but you can also see a heart that is completely ready to trust again. He's a "big boy" with an even bigger heart, and while he might start off a little shy, once he knows he's safe, he's a total lovebug. He is the ultimate companion for someone who wants a quiet, loyal friend to pet and cherish all day long. Because of his rough start, Jonathan does need a family who will look out for his health with the same tenderness he gives his humans. He recently had a successful surgery for Entropion (a condition where his eyelashes were rubbing against his eye), but that's all behind him now and he's feeling so much better! He also manages some arthritis in his rear hips and ankles, so his ideal person will be someone committed to helping him lose a little weight and keeping him on a simple daily supplement to keep his joints comfortable. Jonathan is a "low-speed, high-snuggle" kind of guy who would thrive in a peaceful home where someone is home most of the time. He'd be happy to live with another mellow, low-energy cat or even a very gentle, quiet dog who understands the importance of personal space. Because he's a sensitive soul, he'd do best with kind, gentle humans (children 12 and up) who will treat him like the treasure he is. If you have a quiet home and a lot of love to give, Jonathan has been waiting a lifetime just to meet you. Jonathan's adoption fee is $200.

*To visit our cats, you must make an appointment on-line at www.caringforcatsmn.org/adopt.*

Note: While we are happy to respond to your questions about any of our cats, you will still be required to make an on-line appointment at www.caringforcatsmn.org/adopt if you wish to meet our cats.
