Jonah's Story
Jonah is almost 6 years old. He was adopted out as a kitten, but recently came back to the rescue after his adopter passed away from breast cancer. He likes to lay on your chest or curl up to you in bed. He is coexisting with another cat in the home after a few days of adjustment. He came to us with a partial urinary blockage and UTI. He is on a mix of wet and raw food currently after he was treated. NO DRY FOOD. A raw diet will be what he needs to be kept on to keep a low ph and avoid crystals. A low stress environment will also help. He had a lot of changes after his owner passed away and he was brought to the shelter in Alamosa. He had to be transported to Denver and wait a day in that shelter before leaving. He was scared and moved around so much, it's no wonder he wound up with an issue. So far after treatment and being on a biologically appropriate diet, he has been good.
