Jolyne's Story

Jolyne is a FURR rescue who was adopted in the summer of 2023. Her new parents were very much in love with her, however after months of trying to introduce her to the cats that already resided there, she and her new sisters did not get along well. So for Jolyne’s happiness and well-being, her new family made the difficult decision to find her a new family. She would be best in a home with a cat that will give her the space she needs, or she would also be okay being an only cat and have all the attention!

Jolyne lost her eye due to scratching it when she was itching from her allergies, but it has not changed her playful and sweet personality. We are unsure how she got her short tail, but it does not bother her in the slightest. She is an almost all black cat with an adorable little tail. We call it her propeller because when she is ready to play, she waggles it like she is ready for take off. She LOVES to play! Whether it is chasing her mouse on a string, batting a ball around or just carrying around toy birdies, she is sure to entertain! She takes a little bit to earn your trust, but once you’ve won her heart, she is affectionate and cuddly and will happily curl up on your lap. She likes to talk. Her meow is more like an “ack”, she grumbles when she plays, and she snores loudly giving her the nickname, Goblin. She can have a little sass with light nibbles and swats from time to time, especially after she gets her medicine, but if you can read her signals she makes it known when she is ready to be alone. For this reason, we believe she would be a better fit for a household without very young children.

Jolyne has allergies that that require her to be on a prescription diet and she takes liquid oral medication called Atopica once daily. She also requires regular ear cleaning maintenance due to being susceptible to yeast infections in her ears from her allergies.

Check out Jolyne's TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRwGmQrK/---To meet any of our cats please fill out our adoption application to be approved.
