Johnny's Story
Johnny is an extremely shy kitty who gets scared easily by loud noises and quick movements. He’s slow to warm up, but with patience, he can start to come out of his shell. He prefers calm energy and careful, gentle interactions and would rather hide than react aggressively. Johnny seems to do best in a low-activity home, ideally with just one other cat—or as an only cat—so he doesn’t get overwhelmed. He “talks back” with soft meows when nearby humans are around. During his recent vet visit, he was remarkably calm wearing his cone, simply laying down and sleeping rather than trying to fight it. He did hiss when it was removed, but overall remained composed.<br/>Johnny hasn’t yet fully relaxed in laps or arms, and he hasn’t started purring regularly, but that’s mostly because he’s new to so much attention and affection. He does get easily overwhelmed and will want to run hide if things get too stimulating. With patience and gentle handling, he can grow into a confident, loving companion.
