Joey's Story

Oh JOEY!!!!!

Cauliflower ear: also know as aural hematoma, is a condition where the ear flap (pinna) becomes swollen and deformed, resembling a cauliflower. It is common in cats, particularly those with ear infections or trauma. Stray cats that spend time outdoors are more at risk for hematomas and cauliflower ear.

Joey is a ham! He loves attention and loves, loves to talk. If he thinks he is not getting enough attention, he will let you know how he feels. He is a special boy who deserves an amazing second half of his life. Joey's former family had to move and couldn't take him with them, so he has been making himself at home at Animal Welfare Wisconsin. Joey gets to roam during the day; he loves hiding up high and looking down at all his pheasants.

Joey is an 8.5-year-old short-haired tuxedo with bright gold eyes. He has a cauliflower right ear, but trust me, he has great hearing. Joey is a BIG TALKER! He loves to hear himself, and he will talk till you respond to him. Joey is also known for his aggressive headbutts. He doesn't know his own strength. All the headbutts in the world, he does out of love!

Joey is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. Joey has been with us since the middle of July; it's been over 215 days. He would be great in a house with other cats, or he could be fine alone. Joey was the only cat in his former house, but he does great with all the cats that roam with him.

Joey would make a great roommate; he loves everyone and loves having conversations! Are you looking for an active senior who loves attention and giving headbutts? Then you have found the perfect boy, Joey!

"If you're interested in Joey, please contact A.W.W. by calling or texting 715-501-3000, emailing at rescue.aww@gmail.com, messaging our Facebook page, or check our website www.animalwelfarewi.org to fill out an adoption application. *Our website is being created at this time, and may not be up and running yet.
