Joe's Story

Joe is proof of just how much a little time, patience, and love can change a cat!

This handsome one-year-old gray guy came to us from a hoarding situation, and when he first arrived, he would hide or flatten himself down anytime someone entered the room. Fast-forward a few short months, and Joe is a completely different cat! Now, he'll happily meow to let you know he'd like some attention and will even come running over for some good scratches. Of course, Joe believes those excellent pets deserve payment-and he accepts payment in the form of yummy treats!

Joe is still a little cautious around dogs, but he's no longer so worried that he feels the need to hide. He's also a playful guy who loves chasing a lure toy and showing off his skills. And when the sun goes down, Joe really gets moving! He's an active nighttime adventurer who enjoys doing a little parkour around the house.

Joe would love a home where his family will continue to give him the time and encouragement he needs to build his confidence. In return, you'll get a playful, chatty, treat-loving companion who has come such a long way and is ready for the next chapter of his life.

All our cats are spayed/neutered, dewormed, FELV tested, microchipped, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-cats
