Jo Polniaczek's Story

Jo is a cute tuxedo girl whose bountiful white whiskers surround a sweet, inquisitive face. She is a quiet cat who was born in May of 2024. We feel she often gets overlooked by visitors due to being shy when first approached. However, she quickly overcomes that, loving to be petted. And her very soft fur means you will constantly want to pet this sweet girl.

Jo is one of our Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive (FIV+) cats. FIV is a slow-acting virus, specific to cats, that weakens the immune system, making them more susceptible to secondary infections. While not curable, many FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives with proper care. It is primarily spread through deep bite wounds from fighting. FIV does not infect humans or dogs.

Jo can easily live in a home with FIV negative cats since she is so easy-going and not aggressive at all. If you are looking for a calm, affectionate companion, then Jo is your girl!

All of our kitties have been spayed/neutered and received basic vaccinations, including a rabies vaccine, and have been dewormed, and microchipped.

For more information about FIV+ please go to:
https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv

Adoption fee for Kittens up to a year old is $120
The Adoption Fee for Adult Cats is $70
We offer a 20% Discount for Multiple Adoptions

An adoption application is required and can be downloaded at:

https://www.clarionpaws.org/adoption-process.html
