Jimmy's Story

Jimmy (aka Jimbo) is a friendly cat (about 2 years old) that showed up in his rescuer's cat colony. He was not neutered and was clearly a formerly indoor cat.

He was friendly towards his rescuer's family outdoors. The original goal was to TNR (trap-neuter-return), as the rescuer manages a feral colony in their backyard. However, after a few weeks he showed up with multiple injuries and they rushed him to the emergency vet. He was very friendly with his rescuer's and the vet, he was trying to convince them to keep him inside!

Jimmy has recovered from his injuries and neuter surgery. He currently lives with two cats. - boy Char & girl Sayla, both 7 years old. He does not mind other cats, he want to play with them, but they are not a fan of his.

He loves to play with the cat wand and the spring toy. He loves cardboard scratching posts. He loves pets/scratches and brushes. He waits by the shower while you're in it, hoping for more scritches. He likes to be in the bathroom and tub for a nap. He loves looking out the window at the birds.

He does not like to be picked up for a long period of time. He's not super cuddly yet, but is very sweet and friendly, and loves to walk across people while they lay on the couch. He gets scared of very loud noises in the hallway like construction.

Jimmy is an amazing house guest. He has not knocked anything off his rescuer's countertops on purpose. He does have a big tail, that he underestimates so that occasionally knocks things down or gets it wet if he’s sitting close to the water bowl. He has not peed or pooped anywhere but the litterbox – he is meticulous in covering his pee & poop.

This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat.

This is a courtesy listing, meaning the cat(s) are being offered for adoption by a rescuer, rescue group, or individual unaffiliated with the Brooklyn Cat Cafe or Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition. As BBAWC has not evaluated the animal(s) we therefore cannot provide information on health or temperament. After we receive an application, we will connect you with the current caretaker of this cat.
