Jezebela's Story

Jezebela is an incredibly sweet and wonderful cat facing a lot of challenges. This gorgeous 13-year-old tuxedo was born on the streets of Los Angeles in April 2003. She has a deep, motorboat purr and loves having her cheeks rubbed. Jezzie is a little shy, and prefers if people approach her slowly or let her come to them. Once you start petting her, she falls in love, and will follow you around. She also enjoys sunbathing, being brushed and playing with her catnip toys. She prefers to hang out on the ground, and is very clever about opening cupboards and turning the undersides of tables and cabinets into little nests. Unfortunately, Bela has a lot of health problems. She has epilepsy and hyperthyroidism and an unknown condition that's been misdiagnosed several times. We are currently working with her vets to figure out what's going on. Her main symptom is bloody urine. She is very good about using her litter box, but occasionally has accidental leaks. She also has allergies to fish and fleas, which sometimes irritate her skin. Despite her health problems, Jezzie is a sweet and affectionate cat who will love you devotedly. She enjoys the company of other cats, and would probably be alright around dogs if they are calm and willing to give her space. Jezzie needs a family committed to her well-being and able to make the right choices to ensure her quality of life. They will be rewarded by a grateful, loving little angel who will enjoy nothing more than being by their side. Bela is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines.
