Jewel's Story

Jewel is a special needs kitty - due to an inner ear infection when she was young she has balance issues. Also contributing to this issue is her loose ligaments in her back knee. She can pop out of joint and back again without her knowing. This is normal for her and doesn't cause her any pain. She doesn't know she is a special needs kitty as she's always been like this. She will live a normal lifespan like any other kitty. She is a lovable and sweet. Her favorite toy is a spring and she makes up her own games. She has had all vaccinations and is fixed and chipped. She would do best as an only kitty in an adult only home.<br/><br/>Born Sept. 2020

Weatherford Whiskers's Adoption Policy

Adoption forms are online and then are reviewed by a committee. If approved, then the entire family is asked to come see the cat(s) that they are wanting to adopt so that the staff can observe that the entire family is committed to this adoption. Then formal paperwork is signed and the process is complete. Can take up to 2 weeks for this process to occur.

Our cage free facility has 5 rooms of free roaming cats with access to a catio for safe outdoor enrichment in 3 of the rooms. We rescue high risk cats and kittens from our local shelters.
