The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. My sister Jolene and I started our journey together in a kind couple’s backyard. When we were about three months old, they brought us inside and showed us something new—a safe, cozy life as indoor cats. It was a big change for me, and I’ll admit, it took some time to understand that people could be gentle, loving, and trustworthy. But with their patience, something wonderful happened... I started to open up. I discovered that pets can feel really nice, especially those magical chin scratches. And treats? Well, those definitely helped me realize that humans might be pretty great after all. Over time, I’ve learned to enjoy being near people, quietly sharing space and companionship in my own way. I may not be the kind of kitty who jumps into your lap right away—or maybe ever—but I will be there beside you. I just need a little time, a little patience, and a lot of understanding as I settle into a new home. Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our wonderful kittens or cats. We have invested a lot of our time, energy and resources to offer healthy felines for adoption. Please note adoption fees may vary, as they work to cover varying medical expenses for each cat. We believe that the only solution to the pet overpopulation problem is spaying and neutering. Therefore, we look for families who share this philosophy and spay and neuter their pets. In addition, as we have an ongoing relationship with our adopting parties, so we look for families with whom we find it easy to work. All adopters must complete a screening form which helps match you with your new feline family member. Please answer all questions with complete and honest answers- there is no “right” or “wrong” answer. Note you only have to complete one Screening Form per household, even if you are adopting two cats. If we receive multiple applications for a cat, we will process them at the same time and choose the best fit for the cat, which may not be the first application. All the information on your application will be confirmed. Since we permit our cats to go home the same day and rental agents, HOA and veterinarians’ offices are usually closed during adoption times, should any information be inaccurate, we will arrange to peacefully pick up the cat and your adoption donation will be considered a tax-deductible donation from you to Candy’s Cats. We reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone for any reason at any time without having to provide a reason. Please bring your own carrier to take your adopted cat or cats home as we do not put them in cardboard carriers and do not provide carriers at our adoption locations
