Jersey Girl's Story

Jersey is a very sweet girl who came to us after her people died. There were 7 cats living in the home and we took in 3.

Jersey is 18 years old but seems much younger in mobility and activity levels. She loves catnip toys, following people around (sometimes a bit underfoot) and stretching out on a comfy bed.

Jersey was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. She is starting on medication and we’ll be doing a recheck bloodwork to confirm she’s on the correct dose. Jersey also needs to lose some weight (slowly & safely!) which we have starting working on.

Jersey Girl is chatty and loves being brushed! She doesn’t like closed doors and will insist on being let in She can be a bit nervous at first especially with loud noises and sudden movements, however she settled in fairly quickly at her foster home in a quiet environment. She loves to explore and can jump up on chairs easily (pet stairs needed for the bed).

Jerry is being fostered in Brantford Ontario. Our adoption application is on our website and can be filled out at anytime!

Second Hope Circle's Adoption Policy
We’re so excited you’re interested in adopting! Adoption Applications are sent directly to our program director. Once we receive your application we will go through the information for consideration. From the submission of the application to final consideration for adopting a cat can take 5-7 days. If your application has been considered a good match for the kitty you have applied for (or any of our kitties available for adoption), we will reach out to coordinate a meet and greet. Sometimes we have more than one application for a kitty in our care, Applications are considered in terms of best fit for the cat. Our adoptable kitty’s well being is our top priority! If you are not selected to adopt a cat from Super Senior Cat Sanctuary this is not a mark against you as a caring animal lover but may simply mean we do not have a cat that would be a good match for your family, or that we received multiple applications. We are happy to direct you to other amazing organizations who may have a cat that is looking for a family just like yours! * Please call your veterinarian upon completing the application to provide permission for us to speak to your clinic as part of the reference check. * *Please read the term of adoption after submitting your adoption application
