Jenga's Story

Meet amazing Jenga! She is about 2-3 yrs old, weighs 7 lbs.
She came to us from animal control, who found her injured along a road. Someone apparently shot Jenga near the base of her tail! That caused the tail to start to die, requiring amputation. So she has a cute tail nub now. And it also caused nerve damage to her bladder and bowel.
We know this is a long shot, but we have to try. Jenga needs a home with someone who will be committed to manually expressing her bladder twice a day (you just lay her on her side and squeeze her bladder - it's pretty easy to learn!). She is unable to eliminate urine on her own. Her bowels are in better shape. She is able to poop on her own but she doesn't have 100% control of it, so a couple times a day, one little poop ball falls out. So she does not require help expressing her poop.
She is on medication to help her bladder tone and contractions, which we expect will help some over time.
Jenga is a SWEETHEART, truly! She's been through so much. And to have that act of violence leave her with this nerve damage that has changed her life is upsetting. She deserves the best! She is in our foster care until we find the right home for her.
Jenga is fully vetted and her adoption fee has been waived. If you are interested in taking on the very special, special needs kitty, please email us:
fivefreedomsfarm@gmail.com

We strive to make our adoption process easy! We begin with your email to us inquiring about a potential pet to adopt. From there, you can fill out an adoption application on our website (www.fivefreedomsfarm.org). Then we will schedule a time to chat over the phone and arrange a time for you to come and meet the awesome pet you are interested in.
